The Winter 2020 Log of the S.S. Fellowship is now available
We have decided to cancel our June meeting in Greensboro, NC due to risk to our older Mates of Corvir-19. We are planning to reschedule with JCI USA in Oct 15-18, 2020 in St Louis Mo at the Courtyard by Marriott St. Louis Downtown Convention Center at 823 Washington Avenue for their 100 Anniversary meeting. Hope that you'll understand out decision. Mate John Sprole, 2nd Mate in Charge of CREW Reunions, is working on rescheduling our reunion with JCI USA. We will let you know more details and a new registration form when available.
We are blessed to have one of our founders Granddaughter of John Armbruster, Dr. Janet Breslin-Smith coming to come speak to the CREW and have are planning to invite all attendees of JCI USA meeting to come hear her on the US Jaycee History and the role your Grandfather John Armbruster played along with her husband Ambassador Jim Smith for Saudi Arabia, 2008-2012 and Retired BG from the USAF. For those that may not know he along with Henry Giessenbier and Andrew Mungenast were our founders. He wrote the first History of the US Jaycees and is JCI Senator #3. She also has some of his speeches on CD I believe she is bringing. He also founded the CREW of the SS Fellowship so that all past executive Committee members of JCI USA could stay in touch with each other throughout life via a roster, newsletter known as the LOG, and annual reunions.
The 100 year anniversary will be celebrated there and hopefully they will let us attend it and/or allow us to purchase tickets for it for a nominal fee. Some may want to attend all of their events and TOYA on Saturday night there and purchase a full registration for their meeting. They are also looking for Sponsors of the 100th Anniversary and we plan to become Platinum Sponsors and are more donations towards one of the two next higher levels. If you would like to donate through the CREW, send them to me with a designation donation for 100 year JCI USA Celebration and will add to our initial donation to see if we can reach the top sponsorship level.
Mate Mary Sawyer, 2nd Mate in Charge of Special Projects is still looking for resumes from those who have not been included for our last edition of the Blue Book that was covered in our last LOG.
If you have any questions, call me at 305-799-7733. Stay safe with the corvid-19 still arround.
Yours in Jaycees,
